ivon oates’s multi-disciplinary approach incorporates new media with fine arts and architectural/landscape design.
Her exploration of a plastic aural architecture sculpted by the listening ear has informed recent work, ranging from intensive field recordings in locations of env
ironmental significance to installations of sound and video compositions.
She has over twenty years experience in architecture and fine arts (educated with MA fine arts, PGdip, in UK) and has exhibited and worked in many countries.
Methodologically, she enjoys working collaboratively exploring the creative dynamic between the personal and wider context, including non-western cultural traditions.
